Squeaked out 2 buttons and a round ball in the iron patch.

Stayed up all night watching this nothingburger “hurricane” and I had a break from 7 to 10:30 so I went for it. Went to my 1820’s permission, put on the 6” and tried out Calabash’s relic program and was happy with it. I still got a ton of iron but sometimes those falses have a treat way below like this gold gilt button that was below about 7 pieces of iron 8” down....nice surprise. I also got a nice round ball and another button or what I think is a button but I see absolutely no shank mark at all. Hope someone can help me out on this one. Thanks for looking.

This one has ** [emoji146]** one top a the word PLATED on the bottom . British Crown. Found it a foot away from my Louisiana Pelican Button

Nice job on the buttons Thats alot of work hunting through iron so well deserved finds. Glad the Hurricane wasnt bad. My Daughter is going to be going to Loyola New Orleans for College in August. I have another in Chicago Ill be broke for a long time lol. Nice finds hope you get an ID. Tommy

UPDATE!! I sent pictures to a British button specialist ( for 6 euros) and he sent me this.

“I think that almost certainly these are examples of "Golden Age Buttons" worn on gents coats in the early part of the 19th century. They are characterised by a quite simple design with the button being usually of one piece manufacture but of being finished with very high quality fire gilding giving the impression of being made of solid gold.
