Hi Guys, i had an awesome day yesterday. After the muddy weather what made it impossible to search, the cold came back. And thank god for that! Temps dropped to minus five celsius what froze the muddy ground enough i could walk and search on. Yesterday i decided to search at the most public part of the field im working at right now. Its directly at the street and i didnt do that part yet because i dont like people staring at me. Had two cars stopping and just staring for minutes. Annoyed the crap out of me but i made good finds so i didnt care.

At first i found about 25 Musket Balls and Six Buttons from Naoleon the first again. Like finding these buttons so i was already happy at that point. Then i found a few coins but most were some Nazi Zinc coins and arent worth showing. The only good one is a LIARD DE LORAINE from 1728. Its a french region coin and am pretty happy as they seem rare. Its in the bathtub right now so cant show it yet.

Then i found something that looked like a piece of Mud. It was so crusted that i could see what it was. When i was at home cleaning, it turned out that it was the Feldbinde of an SS Führer. Its some kind of Belt Buckle for high ranked SS Soldiers. Its an extremely rare find, especially where i live. You just dont find them here so i was shocked. :headbang: Right now, it is in the Bathtub.

Then i found a Hakenkreuz that was broken off from a medal. I think it was broken off the german Panzerkampfabzeichen which was on my want list since years. Again, in my Area you dont find them. Its the german Tank Battle Medal.

Then i found a gem that was a piece of jewelry once. I only found it because of the little metal it had on it. Again, what a day.

Also found some Lead toy soldiers. Theni found some nice pottery! Please have a look at the broken legs of a Statue. So sad the Rest is missing. Then i found a nice tiny fibula, an outstanding gold plated Button, a Botton with a Crown including something where it was attached to, some unidentified Pieces that look very old too, a lot of Lead Seals, some empty Wehrmacht shells that i am not showing because they are boring, a broken black Piece of a coin or a medal that says REPUBLICE FRANCAISE and is probably from Napoleon I. too and some other thing. Just take a look at the pics...hope you enjoy them as much as i did finding the stuff!

Nice finds Gemini Alpha!

Thats a nice assortment of finds you got there, congrats!!

I ever start finding stuff like that, you can have it all.

What wonderful finds. I very much like the bits of sculpture and the lead soldiers, are they German? I would like to know more about you and where you are in Europe. are you expat American? I live in Northern California San Francisco bay area but have family in England. Grand parents German. Reards

Hi Qball, im half french half german and am pretty much living in both countries as i have family in germany and france. Lead toy soldiers are probably german but i found a whole lot of french ones as well. If you like Lead Toy Soldiers you might wanna check out my other Threads...i find them on a regular basis. Found a great one yesterday too. Will show it soon. If i remember right, it rides a horse.

Wanna point out im definately not a Nazi and usually hunt Ancient Stuff from Romans and celtics so i can understand that some Americans might not be so happy about finding stuff from that time. But for me as a european, its actually another part of our History and i felt like sharing some of it with you. The european history is filled with War and Battles. When you look at the range of finds, you see theres a lot of finds from all ages in there. Its sad history but still history. You know, i am from a generation that had nothing to do with the Nazis and one that is glad it didnt have anything to do with nazis. Im an international person, have friends in all countries and am 100% Treasure Hunter and i would have been as happy to find a Buckle from the Napoleonic or the Roman Army. This type of Buckle is so rare that it was probably never found in my state so it got me excited a bit from a TREASURE HUNTERS POINT OF VIEW. But that had nothing to do with what the Nazis stand for. For me, its only about Treasure Hunting and not about Politics. Just felt like pointing that out. :)

Yes

Very cool finds there. That is SS officer`s belt buckle. That should be in banner along with CSA and Union buckles. Very nice piece of history :icon_thumright::icon_thumright::icon_thumright:

:icon_thumright:

That was a very busy day for you with some great finds :icon_thumright:The third picture from last, on the right, is a Medieval Annular Buckle, so you took the date line back a bit to, for the area...great finds

Thanks a lot for mentioning that how rare of a find this is guys! This would even be considered extremely rare in germany. And like i said, it is the first reported find in my State ever! I dont think there are so many of them out there to be found in my Area. It is most likely from the 17th SS Panzerdivision Götz von Berlichingen, which was stationed around here.

Have cleaned it very nicely with Oxalic Acid and will post some clean pictures later today! It works wonders and it looks awesome now! bye GA
