Don't overthink it too much.

Here in Texas, all the Spanish missions have these in the gift shops... often changing the design every decade or so. Usually they are a general-use keepsake... Keychain/necklace/zipper pull/luggage tag/hiking staff medallion.

I like it... The spanish missions are always interesting!

Definitely cool.
i did a quick google search... It doesn't appear to be of any widely produced recent design... I'd bet it's circa the 1970s.... And -for sure- not 1976... If it was, it would say either "bicentennial" or "1776-1976" haha.
