Hello all,

I just found a 1918 Bare-Breasted Standing Liberty Quarter.

It is a type 2 with the stars under the flying eagle.

This is my oldest coin found so far...

I just bought a Garrett ACE 250 today.

I headed to the park for a test drive over to the happy hunting grounds again.

Found my third nickel ever right off the bat!

Then the Ace 250 hit hard on fifty cents!

There it was four inches deep right on top of the plug looking at me!

I looked for the other quarter but could not find it. LOL  ;D

I wounder if anyone know what one is worth now days?

The photo is not of the one I found...

Great find regardless of the year or type.Silver should clean fairly easy. You might want to check the
cleaning and preservation section to tnet.

Hi Jim,

Will do...
Just back from posting over in cleaning and preservation section.

Thanks,
Rusty

I would leave it alone your picture looks great, and usually the coin looks much better in hand than pictures.
Put the sweetheart in a two by two flip and enjoy her for the years to come. Again I would not clean it. It appears
to have a sharp strike you will decrease the value even more if you clean it up.

Hi Novaman,

I know your right about that.. The wife said the same-thing to me tonight.

I will treasure the little coin for a life time.

Regards,
Rusty

if there's some black stuff on it, try mixing a little baking soda and rubbing this solution on the coin with your fingers. it won't work for the real crusty stuff though.

the price maybe more if thwere is a mint mark..I tried to blow pic up to see but couldn't see as the pixels broke up

I just now found a mint mark!

For sure it is a "S"

What is left of the date is ??20.

Also, it has across from the mint mark, the number "17" near the bottem star her left hand side.

Thanks for the help!
Rusty
