Found one just over a year ago. It was found in my front yard, I live in a subdivision that was built in the early 1960's . ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1421014475.958432.webp

not recently.

I'm going to guess I got 3 in the last 10 years, all 3 of them in 2012
I'm fairly certain 2 of them were at an 1875 School/now community center.

the best one 1923.

But Think I may have found one other that year somewhere .

I don't keep good records & 99% of my silver goes to me Nephew so
I only have record of the one above, that I kept for My Type Collection

standing Liberties are rare finds here.

More Barbers in the ground

I found 2 this year, my firsts. They were both in the woods in an old park.

Hello Ks coyote,

That quarter has some fine detail!

Regards,

A very well worn one in 2008 at a town park beside the Susquehanna River.

I only have one but I like it so much. Beautiful coin! I found mine in my front yard. Turns out I live in a old old community.

Sorry for the awful picture, I'm new here.

To be honest, I'd much rather find a nice SLQ than a Barber quarter.

About 80% of the SLQ's that have had a visible date I've found in wooded areas with
"old-growth" trees present. . . 3' to 4' in diameter. In the photo below, I found the two SLQ's
in the same hole at the base of an old tree. The Barber Dime was found on the opposite side
of that same tree about 2-minutes earlier.

Almost all of the "no-date" SLQ's I've found have been on private property (1950's era) and local parks.
As a kid (I'm 65), I'd always save the SLQ's with visible dates. . . the ones without, I'd spend LOL.

My latest one was found this last year....at the beach of all places! My detecting buddy found one at that same location the next day! It was also the same date and mint mark! Before that one, I found one at a park.

1 and only I have found, 1918 at a park near Lake Erie last year.IMG_1120.webpIMG_1119.webp

Here is one I found this year at the lot of a demolished home along with some others found the same day.

All were found within 20 feet of each other. The owner said that is where the porch was.

I found one (my second ever) a couple weeks ago in a spot i'd detected 100 times before. I was using my new minelab xterra and it was a mixed signal near
iron . It was a 1929 and in good shape all around (too time consuming for photo)

The spot is near a creek and cellar hole along a path. frequented by hunters and sport fisherman

Nice!

Here's two I found, the first one on the 18th of this month. It was found in an old yard.
The second one I found last year at an old carnival grounds.

I've found only one, a 1925. I was less than 3 inches deep next to an old house foundation.

Since mine doesn't have a date I shined it up and made a pendant out of it. Only one I've found so far.image.webp
