Star pendant or badge? Found on some colonial land.

I first I thought pendant but it seems to have the look of something else. A badge or something? Longshot asking doubt I could be anything significant. It is a little bigger than a dime. Looks to have multiple “hooks” coming out of it holding it into place possibly.

About all I can add is that when enlarged it appears it is a flower or at least a flower superimposed over a star.

Looks like the bottom medallion for a ribbon award.

It might be a part of a "cascading" pendant/earring/chandelier I guess.

Without the prongs, my first thought is a tire & rim pendant(?). What does the other side look like?
