Yes maybe. The hardness should be 7-71/2. Here there are a couple of places that fairy crosses can be found.

That looks right. I live about 6 miles from Fairystone State Park in Virginia, and have seen many of those. It is my understanding they are found here, a place in Belgium, and recently a location in North Carolina.

I know of two places here in NM. Way north in the Rio Grande Gorge and South a bit in Hondo Canyon.

I live in South Dakota and they are fairly common often with garnets. I just liked the twin and size of these. We also have alot of black tourmaline that look similar. Thanks for the feedback.
