Stavr Scoops

Hello all, I just wanted to check in to see about the legitimacy of ordering the Stavr scoop from over seas. I know many people are using them and are quite happy with them. I have been going back and forth with Ruslan from Stavr in order to order this scoop. I thought this process would be easier.

I don't want to use "liqpay" because I do not want to furnish my bank account to someone overseas and the fact that I do not understand the Russian language, which is the only "liqpay" site they provide. I am also told that Western Union can be problematic. Also, the address he keeps giving me for a Western Union transaction is incomplete.

Is there a comparable scoop made here in the good ol' USA? Is the Stavr scoop worth the aggravation and possible risks?

Any input here would be appreciated.

I have 2 StavR scoops both are the Monstrik 10 models...both were in my hands within a 3 week period from start to finish..... I also ordered another one for a friend and he loves his.... 3 week turn around period.... I have had to alter and strengthen one of mine... put gussets for reinforcement areas and welded a stainless steel handle... a little heady but very rugged... I also put bike handle tape on mine for better gripping and to help keep your hands warmer in the Winter months.... Happy Hunting out there and good luck....

Helps get in between the rocks and dislodge them enough to get the scoop down into the areas where the items are....

Buy American. Go to Reilly's Sand Scoop in Pompano Beach, Fl for a quality stainless steel scoop.

I second that. Scoops are made to take a lickin and keep on diggin.

I have my order in with Ruslan and he responded right away! No worries and I will go with the Western Union payment also!

Update on Stavr Scoop order!
I emailed Ruslan and he got right back to me and said my order was ready to ship so I took this information and went to Western Union and it couldn't be easier! I used my Debit Card to pay so all my personal info is safe and not sent out. It cost me 10.99 and an extra 2.00 to write in the question box the order #.
Now we will see how long it takes to get to SoCal! I placed my order on the 13th of November and back then he said Two weeks until the Evroexcavator 2.22 would be in stock!
I will keep you posted!

Thanks for everyone's help! After considerable research I went with the Stealth scoop. I got it last night and will probably test it out tonight. It's an impressive looking scoop!

Also note that Sunspot has a free lifetime warranty on their scoops; all you pay is one way shipping to get it to them.
They also will refurb/repair a competitor's scoop for a nominal fee. They are fantastic people to deal with and went the extra 2miles for me.

Guys, Stavr's scoops are absolutely brilliant, each one is a work of art, I have several of them, all different models and they are extremely well made. None of them broke despite all the abuse I have given them.

That looks like a Frakenscoop Whydah. Guess you feel pretty safe on the beach with that on the end of your scoop. Deadly looking!

shipping by airmail, usually 10-14 days in the US (Ukrpost + USPS), Australia 12-20 days, Europe 7-14 days.
