I don't know what to do with this sterling handled meat carving fork...

The handle is marked sterling and it passed the acid test. The top fork part is bulky and a magnet sticks to it.

The entire piece weighs 150 grams but I am not sure just how much of that is actual sterling. Is there plaster/weighted material in the handle?

Scrap it or try to sell it whole? It is in lousy condition and it is monogrammed and it has no maker's mark.

yes there is filler an should be a metal rod tru it.. I would guessimate weigh at around .55-.65 of a troy ounce

Scrap it, that's what I do with my beat-up sterling items.

With the bad condition and no makers mark, I agree.

So, break off the top part and "skin it" of the sterling?
