I walked up to the old homesite that I must have detected a dozen times in the past to play with my Sovereign. After digging a few pennies and a little bit of trash, I hit a high note that sounded great, narrow and small. When I tried to pinpoint my coil would lead me off to the side so I used disc to pinpoint and dug this ring about 5" down. All I can figure is that the iron next to it had masked it from my other detectors.DBULL

The Sov is best at not seeing iron and reporting on something good under it.

Cool find Pro Pro! I love the balance and ability of the Sovereign's to pull goodies out of iron!

Here's another example from a well pounded school playground.I dug this half this afternoon,7" in the ground. How has it been missed all of the times before? If you look closely at the u in trust you can still see a spot of rust where it was actually touching a rusty nail.I'm still learning!DBULL

DBULL, we are still always learning. :occasion14:

Very Cool find. I have dug 3 or 4 cub scout slides(the thing holds the kerchief) but no silver ring yet.

Not surprising to find the kerchief slide though, one of the Cub scouts in my den lost his on our hike last week.

Cool find. I just found one of those rings today with my AT Pro.
