Interesting, good find, but I know nothing about it.

Judging by the style of the 2-piece bathing suit, the woman's hair, and the circular areas, I think your pin/brooch is from the 1950's.

Neat find :)

I have been hearing the 1950's from a few people now. Thank you for the responses.

IDK, but it's really unique. It looks almost like a "super hero" type of thing, but you wouldn't expect to find something like that in Sterling Silver.
She's riding "The Magic Carpet"...so maybe you can do a search using that.

I think your find is a novelty pin that was sold in one of the tourist shops in Florida (or another coastal state) due to the popularity of water ski shows. Back in the 1950's/1960's my family would go to Florida on vacation, and we would always attend the water ski shows like Cypress Gardens. Those shows were the highlight of tourists during that era of time. It makes sense to me that jewelry companies, as well as others would capitalize on the popularity of the water ski shows.

I agree with Breezie. The board she's on is a wide plywood board that was pulled by the boat with a handle just to hang onto. I had my first sking experience on one in the Saluda River in the 50's. Tony
