Got out today and tried 4 different sites; the last one produced some older finds.

At a Baltimore City park that has produced musketballs and Civil War bullets in small number came this .28 caliber bullet. Shape is unusual and I would appreciate any further info you may know about such a small caliber bullet.

Last hole was my first and last silver of the day, a vintage St. Cristopher medal. I have not been able to find a like example on-line. I would date it as early 20th century. Ideas?

Good hunt from an area that has been hammered again and again.

Thx Professor! My first site that day was a farm field - just some iron bits that you'd expect from modern farming, shotgun shell brass and a quarter. Second site was a ball field - lots of clad and a large circular dog tag with the name "MIA". Site three was a short hillside near a city reservoir where I did get a wheat - didn't stay there long because of road noise and a stiff cold breeze off the lake. Final site gave up the medal, bullet, clad and a heart-shaped dog tag with the name "Lucy".

That medal is really special. Congrats! :icon_thumright:

Nice silver and cool looking bullet! Nice Digs!

Amen to that. Here's wishing you Continued Success.

Those are a couple of nice finds McCdig.

Congrats on the Catholic Medallion. I believe it is a copy of "The Pieta" by Michelangelo.

I really like religious medals, especially silver ones. Good show!
