Stirrup Restoration

Found this stirrup at 1858 dated home site in Cecil Md. Not sure of date range but did find Civil War era relics here. Soaked in evaporust for couple weeks and wire brushed as well as sanded some. Then sprayed with Rust preventer, Primer and Paint hammered copper color.

Nice find! There’s one more piece of preserved history that won’t rust completely away underground.
