STOKED to be rock pickin!!! Hearbreak BANNERSTONE!!!

Hey all, It felt soooo GREAT to be able to do some rock pickin!!! Huntin has be a thing of the past around my parts for years now because so many farmers have went to damn no-till.. Over Easter went to a family get together and on the way home drove a lil' out of the way to an old honey hole and HOLY S%%T it was turned over!!! Fast forward to Friday, got rained out of work and the hunt was on!! Haven't hunted this field in 10 yrs and it didn't disappoint, except the banner being broke!!!! Besides the banner the hafted side notch scraper(which is notched on the base) is my fav's for the day..... HOPE I get a chance to go back before crops go in!!! GL&HH.....

Wow... What a nice day that looks to have been!!! Thats a harrodsburg chert scraper right? Looks maybe heated... Ive only found one piece of that material, was a scraper/knife/preform made of unheated material. Thats an interesting material!!
And that bannerstone... WHEW DOGGIE! Broken or not, thatd still be a 'banner' day for me out scrounging around!!
Im glad that you got one of your fields back, even if it is just for this year...

Nice finds .... I had same situation happen to me with an old field they finally plowed again.... Found some decent stuff I'll be posting today

I would hunt that spot a couple more times before it gets planted and get permission to hunt it again after it's planted. No-till has also pretty much made hunting arrowheads a thing of the past in my part of Ohio also. No-till fields as far as the eyes can see.

That was one of my thgt's too but being as broke as it is it's hard to say.. THANX.

Yep no til hurts everywhere even in the creeks if they dont plow they wont wash in. I feel many points fall into creeks from the plowed fields when it rains. Nice hunt finds.
