At this time of the year when options are few it's hard to get a good spot to hunt. This finds come off a field we have permission to, but it shows no signs of activity other than it is in a general roman area and close to a small creek. Weather was fine so i gave it a try.
Some roman pottery made hope grow, but it was a complete blank (metal)finds wise.
Good thing was a part of a neolithic flint blade. Closely looking on the ground a couple more artifacts showed up! :hello2:

Nice paleo knives!

Nice going on the neolithic pieces.

Good to see you out and about Lu. Those exercises and 12 ounce curls must have worked! Another ho hum day in Germany finding 1870 coin. Nice score.

Nice one with the stone age finds westfront. In fact Yabba dabba doo :laughing7:

Scrappers are a good spot.

This time of year is the time to try anywhere! Afterall, look at Landmags recent gold coin, it was off a failed rape area, & a field we had never looked at.

Thanks guys! I'll try today again, wish me luck! :occasion14:

I would say a good day! These worked flints are so hard to spot! Very nice.

Amazing stone age relics, I just found 1 piece near a river side but not that interesting like yours and I think the knives are still like a sharp blade ready to cut some meat :D Congrats!

Dragging the date back that far makes for a good site, occupation wise. Keep at it the finds will come.

Thanks Colin, somewhere around must be a roman settlement. I "just" need to find it. Good thing is, there is nothing in the books and no cropmarks. You can only find it the hard way and that means no nighthawks. Wish me luck for harvest! :laughing7:
