stone artifacts found next to each other while digging

I found these two artifacts while digging in my back yard. There were each 1.5 feet deep and were found next to each other. One resembles some kind of bowl, while the other resembles an axe head. I was just wondering if anybody knew what these were. Are they significant? If you know anything I would appreciate it.

They look like a workstone and mallet. I found some very similar Native American artifacts when I living in Farmington, Michigan and digging in my back garden. An old Indian trail, the Shiawasi trail, passed through the back part of my land. Those are pretty cool. You have a nice starto a collection, I would go back to the same area and have a good look aroundfor more artifacts.

Nice, full groove axe and a grind stone. You are living on top of an indian campsite !
