Stone handle?

What could've this been? End has broken off. Thought is was metal because of the pitting, but is not. Maybe granite (heavy)? Hole in the end, approx 6" long

Window weight I'm thinking? They were made of lead and cast iron I believe, but most I've seen were bigger then what you have. How much is pack of Marlboro's now. I haven't bought a pack in maybe 15 year's now. I switched to the bargain brands, but they'd smoke up in half the time as the name brands, so that was no savings. It put me through a lotta hell, but I finally got to point of not scraping up all the change I could find for a pack of smokes anymore.
