Hello! I found this in the San Antonio area. Does anyone have any insight on what this could be?

Going by the pictures it looks like a natural rock, I'm not seeing modifications to indicate it's a artifact.

A slang term for a rock found in the field and of such low quality as a specimen, it should be left in the field.

Early in my days of flipping rocks, (I am old) I seamed to grab a lot more leavertiue...did not want o miss an opportunity. my imagination was running wild with every chunk. It was a terrific learning process. to this day, if I am not sure, it rides home with me and gets a chance to join the other rocks after wash-up. Most get tossed in the "rock garden" along with limestone and other goodies.

These days I still drag some of these home but usually when I am grabbing muddy/dirty leaverite amongst the stuff I really want to take home. It doesn't cost me anything to drag them home for a look-see.

It may have seen some service as an abrader, but I think it's just a rock. Texas limestone comes in many different odd shapes and sizes..
