Hammerstone Or Plain Old Stone

Hi all! Hoping for your insight. I found this stone near a known habitation site...close to where a stream drains into a lake. I confess, that I'm not very good at identifying hard stone artifacts. It seems that the indentations on the top which is more prominent and the bottom might have been altered...but maybe wishful thinking...Thank you!
