Stone tool?

This item was unearthed years ago in upstate NY. It’s made of stone and has clear “tool” marks. I placed the Walking Liberty Half for scale. Not much else I can say about this item. Not sure what it is or how it was used. Any info would be great. It’s cool no matter what it is :)

Very interesting. You may have a better chance at an ID moving it to the Rocks Gems page at Rocks/Gems.

That thing has the WOW factor, very unique never seen anything like it in my Indian Artifact books.

looks machine worked to me , as in cut with a saw..

modern. You can see the clear saw blade marks in the mouth cut

I can’t see obvious saw blade marks but it does seem a little too clean cut in places

I don't see any tool marks, nor do I think its a native american artifact. Strange as it sounds, I think its a natural anomaly
