I dont know about you guys and gals but when i see alot of New England stone walls in a big patch of woods im in there:icon_thumleft:

Scouted this trail area a while back on the mountain bike and found some pretty well-built stone walls out in the woods..
Looked for a cellar but nothing..Went back a couple of times on the bike and never found a cellar..:dontknow:
Decided to take the detector out there in 0 disc to scout and see if there was any activity:thumbsup:

Sure enough it was not even on for a minute and out pops a 1816 Large cent:headbang:

We as detectorists know the heart gets pumpin when this happens:laughing9:

Then out pops a KG copper a couple of minutes later..Finally found where the cellar was it looked like a pile of field rocks you see everywhere.
Somehow it got filled in..Ater finding another largie and a cool
Massachusettes what i think is a hard time token and many Colonial era buttons..

After digging deep around the cellar i noticed alot of ash all around the cellar a foot deep..The house must of burned down sometime around the 1830's..

Glad i found it now i can tell its story a little bit:read2:

Have fun out there people:hello:

Blaze

No buddy ever pays me in gum... I mean man I WISH I had history like THAT around here! I wouldn't care if I found anything there, just being able to go there and for a minute think of the people that lived there and how their lives were so different than ours. That is awesome.
