I like to hunt in a good rain . There is something about hunting while the water is still going down into the ground that just seems to generate more signals than a static setting. Thursday night is my scheduled hunt night and I do not like to miss these so storms or no storms I still went out ! I huntedfor a full 8 hrs of heavey rain during hurricane Irens but I never got chased off my hunting ground like I did today . Big linghtning bolts going off all around me as I scurrrY for the saFety of the Pickup during a deluge of water that was just falling from the sky . I got an hour and a half in before I got chased off by mother nature . Felt Like I was in a good spot . A no date shield nickel , a 1044 wheatie , The New england style Hatchet , and what I believe is nearly half of a cast Iron toy carrige . I also found 44 pennies wrared up in electrical tape > all memorials 1968 to 1984 . . I was hoping for better but Ill take what i can get ! Thanks for looking and happy hunting !! MaineRelic

Well I'd say the shield nickel indicates a decent old site for sure ! (A 1044 wheatie is pretty special too -LOL )
