Old timey bike wrench/spanner

Tapered, rectangular prong suggests something that went into wood. Distance between the "y" would have to be around 4" or greater for it to be an oarlock. The oar would go between the y either with a pin through the oar and the y or the oar would sit in the bottom of the y. Not possible to tell from the picture how big it is. If the distance is smaller, perhaps an anchor point for sailboat rigging. Just speculating from what I see.

With the square shoulder on it, and the wedge shape, I think it maybe have been a masonry anchor that went between courses of brick, perhaps to support a small diameter pole or gas lamp.

Lots of things found on a beach have noting to do with a beach or ocean.

Or lightning rod grounding wire clamp. These are 5 inches long.

The posted relic is missing the glass insulator which has been replaced, dangerously, with copper wire.

might it be just a simple door wedge? The wire around prongs could be to tie a string on to pick it up or hang it up. Middle picture shows it flat on one side.
