I was out with my M6 today and noticed some strange things.. First the concrete in front of the garage was date 1954 which is my birthyear.. Then the town park I went to hunt was established 1954.. Had the super 12 on today and found the usual clad, washers and wire.. Then I got a dollar signal at depth and figured a can, but the vdi was stable so I dug it.. At 10" my pinpointer went off (that the length of it ) and pull out a object.. Couldn't tell what it was, so I threw it in my pouch and kept detecting.. Next signal was a dime and at a measured 7" was a 48 rosie.. Great depth for a dime with a large coil!! Little while later got a R at 4".. R for Ray, strange.. When I get home I washed off the unidentified object to reveal a 1972 Ike someone cut the Field from around the eagle..Very cool.. Then I get a email from someone asking about the M6 and he lived on the southside like I did and then moved to Mokena just like I did!! Strange day indeed!!

man you are all set for talk like a pirate day, rrrrrr

That half dollar is very cool...you should try to clean it up...unless you're worried about affecting the value ;D

The 50C could have came out of a belt buckle! :icon_scratch: Coin belt buckles are still very popular down here in the south. It's really cool,I'd like to see a pic if you clean it up.HH Bighead

Wow. Did you buy a lottery ticket?

Well here's the Ike cleaned up a bit more.. When I was out the M6 yesterday and got a 50 cent bouncing to a 1.00 signal.. When I pulled the plug I seen a glint of gold sticking out the bottom of the hole at 6".. As my heart raced I pulled up what a first glance looked like a foreign coin but there was two more!! The second one was clean as the three of them were sitting on top of each other.. Took a good look and seen the smiling rat ba#@^&d looking up at me!! Want to smack whoever decided on this token!! Not the first disappointment as I found not one but two reader digest sweepstakes coins... One day I'll get my gold coin...I guess being out playing in the dirt is the real gold... Been out with the XT70 and still learning, but so far the M6 is the one I grab when I'm tired of digging trash!!
