Forkliftdriver - for me anything that's not a clad dime or a penny is a good find. If you hunt dimes with any amount of volume you'll build up a stack of 5 Pence coins. Dimes and Nickels both seem to put out a good variety of foreign coins, but 5 pence will be near the top of the list in terms of frequency.

Wow, tough crowd these days.

Worth about 8c

holy crap! Next you're gonna tell us you found a Bermuda 10 cent piece and really blow our minds....

I not only crh for silver, but also for different coins. I find it interesting that a coin made it from England to middle of nowhere Western Kansas. That is why I posted it.

guys his name is forklift cut him some slack

Lotta jaded CRHers these days...

I've found six or eight of these since I started hunting dimes in May - for me they are about as common as finding a Mercury dime (but much less valuable).

I'd say it's worth 2 or 3 CRH points; where a common junk silver dime is worth 10 points. Based on my proprietary imaginary CRH scoring system, which has little to do with monetary value and a lot to do with the amusement value of finding novelty coins amidst a sea of common clad/zinc garbage.

I still think there should be an official CRH scoring system that should be incorporated into the Treasurenet site, with the winner receiving some low-value, high-awesomeness prize like a Morgan or ASE. Only issue is verification of finds, but someone smarter than me could probably think of a solution to that.

Ive found about as many of these as canadian dimes- not all scarce in my area- people travel all over the world and bring back change and then dump em- hunt enough and youll find coins from all over- I give em to my kids they like em as play money
