Strange Find - Tempered Glass or Something Else ?

I almost didn't pick these up because I thought they looked more like tempered glass. The more clear looking piece is almost as thick as a penny. Found laying on top in an area where there has been some Crystals found and some Gold has also been found.

Any thoughts on these ?

Do a hardness test. Try to scratch one with a piece of quartz. Quartz is harder and should leave a mark on glass.

Yep it is glass, the quartz scratched it pretty good, lol.. Thank You for the suggestion on this... No we are heading back out to take a closer look at this area today. One of these trips I may need to actually take the time to dig a hole instead of just walking around looking at these areas for any signs of what might be a good area, lol..
