Being a UK find I'm kinda useless... but it would be cool if it was anything more than a zipper pull!

tyre... what size is it? I assume it's copper? And, do you have any idea at all what the symbols are? I've been educating myself on UK relics here for a little bit to try to help but find I am still completely useless. :-\

Jim, the picture makes it look bigger than what it is, it's about half inch in length, the markings look a little like hieroglyphics, I suspect that the date is probably early 1800, but like yourself I am a little mystified at the marking's :-\

Greetings,

It is definitely Masonic associated but higher... think Knights Templar. It is a special "agent" identification disk of a high-ranking person in a particular branch of that org. The person wearing that was definitely up to no good and it is indeed a rare find. The one losing it was possibly a victim of violence near the site where it was found as it is highly unlikely it would have been casually lost because of its occault and secret importance. Be careful... it's appearance on the net, if noted by the wrong people, could yet spark an attempt to recover it.

Are the letters Greek?

Possibly Alpha, Tau, and Upsilon (lowercase) on the first pic?

Maybe it's a fraternity thing...

Whatever it is it can't be too old. It looks like it was machine stamped to form it? Darn old pro, I wish you wouldn't give away all the Masonic secrets like that. Monty who occasionally looks to the east.
