The size of the item compared to a quarter. I also think this piece is made out of copper.

there are probably millions maybe billions of styles of Ashtrays since most Stores, Restaurants, businesses & homes at some point had Ashtrays for use
before the gonna live forever by not seeing cigarettes smoke craze .

this is the closest to what shape/style yours may have been before being crushed.

No other info other then This one was Silver Plated Antique yours may have been also. Any marks on the back ?

Indeed it is, and it's the 1920 (onwards) version of the arms. There are numerous variations of these, produced as souvenirs. Something similar on fleabay currently:
