I found this today whil;e detecting some near some rocks on the oregon coast.
the metal in the quartz is soft and bends easy but its not the color of gold.
any clues??????

The pen is pointing at the soft flexable metal in the quartz i know its not the best pic but its all i have
the white in the rock appears to be quartz.
i did dig it from about 5 inches down and the detector loved it.

Might be molybdenum. Is there any copper in the area?
