Beautiful fox!! I doubt a fox would kill a cat, they don't weigh much and most cats can defend against pretty large dogs by attacking the face with claws.
Foxes will grab a cat in a second if they think they can. I have seen them running down a side yard with a cat in its mouth.

A friend makes fox bait from road killed cats, he claims they love it.

Grey fox are good climbers, I watched a pair climb a wild cherry tree, and feast on the cherries.

Cats are the chicken nuggets of the fox and coyote world.
Sure... But I had a cat. Junior was his name. A Manx. Orange and white, 21 lbs. I watched (with loaded gun) as he beat the *&^$^&@!! out of a racoon! Fast and strong!

Yes they are tough/tuff SOB's A friends lab was severely damaged by a coon. Years later a con (I live in the country) was in my back yard....along with Roxy my daughters dog. Daughter is yelling at me worried about her dog. I venture outside, armed and there is a 60 lb at least racoon. Well Roxy grabbed Mr. coon and crunch... shake.... dismemberment. Fast.
I was amazed how fast it happened.
She only nailed the racoon when my daughter went outside and Roxy saw her... Protective for sure.

She is no longer with us...Roxy.

Had a black Lab/Newfoundland cross. 125lbs solid, loved humans, but would take anything else out.
He'd go for the big city raccoon, and it was over in seconds.
He'd grab them by the back of the neck, hold to the ground and I could hear the spine crushing.
Then a quick snap, drop, walk away never looking at the coon again.
