Stuart FL New Member and Metal Detectionist

I am finding this forum very informative and am new to the metal detection hobby. I just ordered a new Fisher model F2 and have done some extensive reading and research in order to prepare myself for my first venture into the field. It appears that I have to be cautious as to the areas I investigate based on what I see on laws and the apparent desire to prosecute violators. I would like to meet any other MD individuals that might live near me and join a club or organization so I can learn more.
