Stubble corn / 1876 home site yields another first

I know it's a fattie compared to all my other IH can make out 186?. Last IH from this site was a 1865......not a fattie. ...Got to be before 1864...........right? As soon as I got it from the hole and saw the Indian on it, and felt the thickness I knew what it was! 4th coin from here....ranging from 1844-1865

I'm seeing 1865, the 5 being all but gone. But then again, I've not changed the prescription of my glasses in over 6 years. Great find and hope there are more to come!

Thats what I thought I saw too Tommy G. But it is visably thicker than all my others..................wear factor? fattie or not.......I love IH's

Hi! Is this a old house site? This IHC looks like it has been charred long ago. I'll bet an old house/cabin burned down there. Could be some nice old Seated Liberty silver in that spot, and I hope you find some. Thanks for sharing.

In 1876 there were two 17 acre farms, now it is a 35 acre field within the foot print of a County Park. They may very well have burned the house down, when they added it to the Park, which is over 400 acres!

No silver yet 1844 Canadian Half Penny..........1864 US 2 Cent piece.............1865 IH ...........then this one I have till he plants again!

I'll guess 1862 ... Cryin' shame, must have been fertilizers or some hazardous acidic contamination that roached the cent . Still your in a good spot , keep pounding more fatties
