This warm weather is spoiling us. Went out with the wife over the weekend to scout a bunch more fields. We still have lots of fields to explore but we've already discovered several homes sites. I got a nice, whole 1620 - 1680 trapezoidal buckle frame and a super old colonial silver coin subtly bent into a love token. Shame its toast because I suspect it could be a really old English 6 pence. My wife got a couple George II halfpennies and a half dime. We both got indians too. Lots of tombacs including some with neat designs. Wife also found the iron. I got a 3" iron ball which weighs 3 1/2 pounds. Not sure what it is but came up 54 on my Deus. A couple cuff links, a gem style with white glass and a hand etched were a couple more of my favorite finds. There are 2 colonial sites nearly on top of each other. One much earlier than the other. Cant wait to get back because there should be more goodies waiting for us. Oh yeah, got a 1906 dime and a cut half reale. Too much stuff to document, really. Probably some stuff pictured that I forgot to mention.

Scouting my ars!!! :censored: You just had a few short hunts. Looks like you have some promising sites. I'd like to dig everyone of those items you show in the pics. Congrats on pulling all those keepers. :occasion14:

That is a great variety of finds...love the trapezoid buckle and the 3d tombac

Those are some good old finds. Would I love to get on a place that was anything close to that tomorrow.

Damn GW!!!! What I'd give to have sites likes those here in Ind..... Awesome buckle and the buttons are killer.. Congratz & HH....

Great mix of finds!! That seated 1845 looks awesome!! Nice buttons nice job. HH

Wow awesome finds there and anything is possible from sites like that!

You have a great colonial site, congratulations on the finds! :occasion14:

Nice hunt!!

Nice scouting trip!
Cant wait to see you guys hammer down. Hope to see more cobs and buckle start to fly again this year!!!

That's a great hunt for scouting! Couldn't imagine a full blown hunt. Nice old finds there

Heck of a hunt!, I would absolutely call that a complete success.

Man, those are some really good finds.

What a fantastic site you've found. If you need any help please let me know. The soil is very very kind to the coins there. I love them.

The most common love token, which that seems to be is a William III Sixpence.

I love seeing your posts! Exactly what I'm looking for. You just find way more of it lol

What a great assortment of finds so many of them would make a game saver for me, and it looks like you have a good hunt option.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, it was a scouting trip but once we found a site, we hunkered down and hunted it. The colonial sites had tough hunting conditions due to overgrowth so we'll definitely find more there in future seasons.
