Suggestion for the RICH HARTFORD AWARDS

I have a suggestion for CardsNCoins recommendation for the RICH HARTFORD CRHing AWARDS of THE YEAR. First of all, I congratulate CardsNCoins (Nick) for his gracious idea. Here's what I suggest. Lets have awards for specific finds. The awards can be called the "RICH HARTFORD AWARDS OF THE YEAR". I suggest that you honor the single best cache or "find" of the year. The best single "coin find" of the year. Followed by the best silver dollar find, Half fine, quarter find, dime, nickel and penny finds. This way many of the forum members can be in the mix. Sort of like the Academy Awards categries. All entries by members must be submitted with the date of the find and a photo. Members can vote and then Nick can post the winners. I think that RICH would be very honored and it would be great fun for all of us. What do all of you think of this idea?

I like this idea.. I suggest one of the top prizes should be called "Luckiest S.O.B. of the year" lol which would go to someone finding a solid box or something similar... Granted CRH'ing is hard work but since we all know what that work is like why not poke fun at it some.

I like it, but there shouldn't be too many awards... might take away from it. Maybe MVP silver king, best individual 'score,' halves king, and best coin. :icon_thumleft:

Maybe give two weeks to right in your candidates after it starts... I bet a lot of people here are somewhat irregular with logging in.

get a poll going for this individual forum where only members can vote maybe monthly or annually for teh best haul or best individual find

I like Mauserman's suggestion to keep it down a little. I agree with you, Mauserman. BEST CACHE/SCORE. BEST INDIVIDUAL COIN and SILVER HALF KING OF THE YEAR. We can call them the RICH HARTFORD AWARDS. How about that? The BEST CACHE/SCORE and SILVER KING OF THE YEAR will be easy to determine by looking at the posts for the year. Members can submit their "BEST COIN" find (any coin, penny, nickel, dime. quarter Half, Dollar and error coin) with a photo and we can all vote on it. The submissions and voting can be done in January for the previous year. Good job, Mauserman. Rich will be honored. What do you all think? I know CardsNCoins is open for suggestions and this is actually his idea, so whatever he decides should be the way we should go.

LOL, Freedom. I miss those great stories from Rich. Always seemed to brighten up any down day you were having. The man certainly had a nose for silver and a way with the tellers.

What will the awards be though? And who is going to provide them? Are we talking like a real award, or just an online honors type thing?? I like the idea, when would it start?
