Summer AWESOME...she's back......rings, bracelets and ear rings whoop!

Hi from Texas! It's been a long time. Life happens as you all know. Finally was able to do some serious treasure hunting the past couple of months. Most of the finds were found the past 2 weeks. I use a White md. I've been detecting for 4 years. I hope you enjoy the pics! My favorite is the 10k tennis bracelet w/diamonds. Question: Anyone know how much the knife would be worth? I could not believe the SIZE of this pocket knife..... I love Labor day, don't you? Lots of jewelry deposits made on this holiday at the lake. My primary hunting grounds. Have a safe holiday and happy hunting.

Glad to see you are back out there! I thought maybe you had given up detecting or something! Nice jewelry there. Don't know how you have been able to handle this heat, but better days are ahead. I met you at the lake a few years ago when I had first started detecting. Still at it. Welcome back :hello2:

Oh man,...it likes like there is still dried blood on that knike. Please tell me that it is rust.

Re: Summer AWESOME...she's back......rings, bracelets and ear rings whoop!

thanks bayorhall. I am still doing my thing. This is my lowest ring count since I started Mding 4 years ago. The past couple of years I've found 75 to 100 rings per year. This year, what you see, is what I got. Now, I am freaked on the knife....I assumed rust.....fish guts, maybe?....ewwwwww.

Does the knife have any makers marks impressed into the base of the blade, most of the better quality knives are usually marked? :icon_scratch: This knife looks to be modern in design and it's probably not more than a couple of years old.

These are usually German or English made knives, so by "Googling" the makers marks you show be able to reference comparables. The blade doesn't look like it's been in the water very long and should polish up nicely. The overall length of this knife is very impressive and in the world of collecting knives, "bigger is better"! I wonder if this knife might have been specially made as a promotional item to help sell the makers other products. It's kind of hard to imagine a knife of this size actually being a "funtional" work knife.

Cleaned up, I'd put a value on your knife of between $200 - $300. :icon_thumright:

Cool Beans! Water parks and lakes are a great place to find stuff. :icon_thumright:

That knife has blood on it..EWWWHHH.. Might have been a shank. :dontknow: nice finds.

P.S. Bun holder is off the chain. Great idea.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.

Upon cleanup the knife DOES have Frost Cutlery on it with a bird (hawk maybe). It's so great to be able to hunt more again. It's been a long HOT summer in the 100's. I can get back out there and find the good stuff.

Never seen a bun used that way before!! Nice finds forsure,,,,glad to see you back in the game.

2nd bun pic - top right ring - that's a steel bottle opener ring! I bought two of them this summer to wear to the beach so I'd have an opener handy when I wanted to open a beer.

Nice finds!!!!

Here's a link to the knife makers website, maybe send them a photo of the knife and they can evaluate it for you.

Good Luck,
