This summer I went through 18 boxes of half dollars, 15 boxes of dimes, 3 boxes of nickels and 10 boxes of pennies. The results are as follows:
$9000 Halves
-20 90%ers (2 bens, 2 walkers, and 16 kennedies)
-77 40%ers
-5 proofs
$3750 dimes
-14 rossies
$300 nickels
-4 war nickels and 1 buffalo
-lots of 40's and 50's
$250 pennies
-around 6000 copper cents
-150 wheats and 1 indian head penny
A grand total of $13,300 in coinage was searched. I managed to attain $858 in silver or 19.8 ounces. I averaged $44.70 in silver per box for halves. School is starting up soon so I may not be able to coin roll hunt as much, but I will squeeze in as much as possible. Keep searching and never give up.
