SUN CELLAR HOLE HUNT WITH RON*KG HIBERNIA COPPER & 1869 IH

ron picked me up about 10 am.headed back down towards these sites we found yesterday.came across a new one today.this site gave up some buttons,a trigger guard,a 1869 IH with a nice cud mark on reverse(worth $65 in G-4 in redbook.partial liberty on this one so maybe worth more) a bridle rosette and a King George III but this has a harp in center on reverse.can't get a date.same diameter as a large cent. is it a Hibernia?
and another ox knob. hate them things.they read like a large cent

Looks like a pretty good day ! I love the copper :headbang: The Indian is unusual too. A bunch of buttons to round out the day.

If you can see the last digit you can date it. Regal issues are... 1774-1776 and 1781-1782.

Off the top of my head they are early 19th C or just before.

Played with the photo of the Hibernia a tad and I would lean towards a 1782 for the date. Most 1781 and 1782 found are counterfeits, if you ever get a chance, weigh it. If regal should be 140 grains or approx 9 grams, maybe a tad less for wear.
