Went mding early,was a bit cold with no sun warming me,a slight drizzle started and I looked up to a nice sight,couldn't get the whole thing..

Nice pic ... ever think of using "Panorama mode" on your Nikon?

Takes 3 pics to create one image. Fuji and Nikon both have that feature (and a few other brands do as well) and even "assist" in "stitching" the images together.

when turf is taken up, it has to take some soil with it
yet, around here I never see any being added
after so many times does not top soil have to be spread?

I honestly don't know Jeff,I do know you have to keep it watered till the roots take hold.
 

I asked a friend about it and he says " how do you think of things like that?"
