Sunday morning CW hunt ..ID needed on mystery item

This morning I revisited the swamps and found 3 more shell frags. One is the nose of a parrot shell and another fuse hole piece from a cannonball. I also found a fired CW bullet and a 69 cal roundball which i gave to the man who let me park at his place. I found a bush ax blade, a " mother of pearl" pocket knife, modern vaccine bottle, fishing weight and assorted whatsits and modern bullets.
Then there was this strange item just under the leaves. It appears to be silver ( possibly aluminum?)Looks and feels more like silver. It has no markings or engravings , it is 3 1/2 inches long x 1 3/4 inches wide x 3/4 inches thick at the thickest point (center). Judging by the weight , it seems to be hollow. There are no loops , holes , hinges or seams in this item. It almost looks like it's from outer space...Anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?

they are supposed to be made of aluminum. i'm not sure the scientific thought behind the way they are supposed to work, but i know the reviews always say they don't do a darn thing!

it should be made of stainless steel and will remove the onion smell from your hands after cutting onions
