Sunday. My First Lc and a unknown

Well I dug my first large cent on Sunday. And as you can see she is nice a toasty. She came out of a bean field and I knew she had see better days. But I'll take it, I just can't wait to dig one that I can read the date.

I dug a few other odds and ends but I have one that has me stumped. This thing is lead and is the same size as a eagle breast plate but is a bit heavier . When it popped out of the ground I thought for sure I had one. I dug this at the site where last week I dug a box plate so I'm thinking its military. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them. I will also post it on the what is it page.

Congrats on your first large cent! That big lead thing is weird, does it have hooks on the back?

No not that I can see just that hole.
