Got out nice and early this am to a balmy 24 degrees. Headed back out to an old spot of mine. Finds were tough but was able to snag the SLQ (1917 Variety 1), 2 Merc's (1917, 1918-D), Dog Tag & 2 buttons at the 1st sight.

Decided to head down the old road to another site and as I was walking I saw at about 100 yards a coyote trotting the opposite direction I was going. Man that thing was big, probably the size of a German Sheppard.

Got to my other site and snagged the Barber (1906), IH (1884), 3 Wheaties(1900, 1917-D, 1925), my 2nd NY Municipal Police button from this site. Also got these 2 Suspender clips.

HH!,
Roger

Great job, good hunting !!

Keep @ it an HH !! :hello2:

Excellent day out there man ! Those SlQ's always look good to me .

Great hunt! Way to go!

Awesome finds, there's a great amount of detail on the slq!, I bet that coyote was a cool thing to see!

Nice walk, good silvers, you had me going, I thought the thread was going to be a story where the po po showed up!

This is what I thought also! Good finds, Reb! :icon_thumleft:

Nice digs. I would take a tough like that any day, nice save on them.

Thanks Guys! This 2nd site is coughing up the coins in a 10x10 area. Going to switch over to my 6x10 coil as there are so many hits.

Great finds! Man! that SLQ is amazing, that had to be a recent drop ( of that time)...Just curious...Why are you blocking out the Dog Tax Tag? does it show your location or something?

Very nice finds. Congrats on all of the silver. As stated by others, the SLQ details are great. GL&HH.

I dream of slow days like that one. Congratulations on all that gorgeous silver.

Yep. I work hard for my sites, so the less I advertise the better :icon_thumright:

Very nice finds, love them silvers the SLQ is in nice condition...

Nice going on the silver and and the button.

More that likely you came across a Coy dog which is a hybrid cross between a wolf and a coyote. These dogs are huge compared to the skinny ol' Wiley Coyote from that most think of when referring to the dog. Like you said they're as big as a German Shepherd Dog.

That looks like a great day playing in the dirt.

Awesome silver! Congrats! The detail on the back of the SLQ is really good!
Our neighbor had a deer in her fenced in yard Sat. My son went over and opened the gate so it could go on it's merry way, it wouldn't do for the sleigh to be a deer short! Lol!
