Went farm field hunting in White county Indiana.
One part was plowed deep and weathered down.
Started the high ridge and then the low plowed
ridge. Flipped out a nice Attica chert blade almost
three inches. The longest green I've ever found in
that area. Crossed the road then walked 1/2 mile
over a high ridge to a low paleo spot. Left there
then walked back to the high ridge and found five
in a small area along with a deep pit nutting stone.
It wasn't till on the road I noticed I dropped the
blade in the field. This happened because my
gloves will cause my pockets to come out of my
coat...what a dummy! The next day I went back
and didn't find it, but did find a perfect
hammer/nutting stone.

Nice finds hopefully when you go back again that blade will pop up somewhere.
Thanks for the pics

Very nice finds, it's amazing how you can loose something and retrace your tracks and never find it. I once found a flint axe and set it on the edge of the field and went back to recover it and could'nt find it. And I'm 100% positive I was the only one in the field, very weird situation.
