Sunken Treasure Location? Tips
?
My Friend Cornelius is a wealth of Knowledge. After reading his thread about the gold bars, I thought it would be interesting to start a post about potential treasure sites. I know that most of us are closed mouthed about locations and I believe that is the way it should be. However, if you don't ask how I came up with
this information, I will share it and hope that if anyone else has any sites to add, I sure it will be appreciated by all.
Rattlesnake Key, Florida. East Coast in the Keys. Near Key Largo. Without going into a great deal of back round information. I will say that I was told a number of years ago, about another old man that lived on Rattlesnake Key. It was said that when he needed supplies, he would trade old gold coins for these supplies. ( This was back in the 1900's).
On the N.E. end of Rattlesnake Key about 100 feet from shore, there are many, many non-ferrous objects lying on the bottom under the sand.
Don't ask me how I know, but I do. They could be Gold Coins, Silver Coins or old Beer Cans. I honestly don't know what the non-ferrous objects are, but I can tell you that on the N.E. side of the Key is a small waterway that goes in a short distance. Several years ago, I did see an Old Wooden Timber from a very old ship pushed up into the mangroves at that location.
Treasure or Trash ?? I have no idea, but it could be an Adventure for someone.
