Morning,

Finally, despite non-stop rain I decided to slog out to a new spot. It was one of those days when it appeared the spirits were a'gin me. Dug for 5 hours before I found a point...lots of large flakes and rocks but no points.

My buddies were having far more success than I, and I was getting annoyed...you know how it is. I changed spots one last time and managed to find all these points in a small spot in just about an hour. Problem was it was time to go home and I was completely beat from digging before I found the sweet spot. Oh well, may go back this weekend for another round.

Happy Hunting,

Looks like you found a sweet spot. Never seen a point like the first one. Kinda odd looking. I like it.

Afternoon,

Evans points are quite common in Louisiana. Quality varies quite a bit in the point type, as does size.

Great digs. People who have never dug all day have no idea. Especially when its muddy. Take some asprin and go back you have some nice points.

Love the unique points. Looks like it was well worth the extra effort and the back ache that inevitably follows.
Good job.

You had a great dig. I know you can't wait to get back. Good luck!

Lot's of unusual point types (for me) in there. Those are cool pieces. Congrats.

Congratulations. That Evans is killer.I've only found one that is all there. But, I've found two brokes that probably would have been over 3".I wish I could get out and hunt. We're on mandatory overtime again.Six 10 hr shifts with only Sunday off. That doesn't leave very much time to do anything.I'm thankful to have a job so I'm not going to complain.

Nice points as always. Thanks for sharing sweetie.

Molly.

Morning,

Thanks Molly....more rain...creeks are out of bank here...makes for hard digging, but good surface hunting.

I found this point a year or so ago. Its one of my better Evans points...more pointed than usual and straighter. I think a lot of Evans points were knives because the tend to be skewed left or right.
