SUPER TUNED???

Super tuned is with the threshold cranked to the max and sensitivity as high as it can go without running irratic. I know the Vaquero will work with this, but you will lose pinpoint and have to turn the threshold down if you want to check your balance.

I am not sure, but if you have a threashold and after it is balanced give it a try.

No. At least not on my Bandido 2uMx. But I was able to do it on my Toltec 100 so maybe the old Bandido's it might?

You should be able to super tune any tesoro with a threshold knob except for the Tejon, as it's already cranked up. Just crank up the threshold and sens. in disc. mode. It won't work in all metal as it's dependent on the threshold for GB.

Stoney hit the proverbial "nail on the head" - you can more or less "super-tune" any of the Tesoro machines aside from the Tejon.

I played with the super-tuning a bit this past weekend and definitely noticed a decent increase in depth. What was even more noticeable, was the clarity in the deeper signals - they seemed louder and more distinct.

I can't notice any difference in my Bandido 2 umax. But then again that was in my yard where I have so much interference from the ufo buried under my home....
But I hunt my Bandido in all metal and only use the disc to see where the target falls into it. I don't really need it for my hunting style.
...do I?

The manual for my Bandito mentions something like what your referring to, but I think it is just saying run the sensitivity at the max before it becomes unstable.
