Hello TreasureNet! I am excited to join this lively forum. I have been interested in the lure of treasure since I was a child. My Grandmother titled me "the-sharp-eyed-little-monster" because I always seemed to find loose coins, buttons and other shiny objects on the ground. Finding treasure has been a passion that I've explored in many forms and methods. I love second-hand shopping and have hunted treasure in this form for 15+ years, but my favorite hobby resembles metal detecting quite a bit. I go for long walks just looking for change and other metal objects on the ground in relatively high traffic urban settings. I scan the ground back and forth, and use the gifts of good eyesight and intuition to locate treasures similar to those dug by detectors. I find plenty of change, jewelry, widgets, hoopies, hardware, scrap metal, and every so often a jaw-dropping treasure. I also peak into the dumpsters in the alleys and at work, pulling interesting bits out. Pulling gold and silver out of the dumpster behind my house is exciting, and must be how diggers feel when they find the shiny stuff in the dirt. I have respected TreasureNet for a while as a resource, and am happy to join as an active member with a slightly different perspective on Treasure because I've seen the great postings on this forum. I want to push my Treasure hunting skills to the next level, I hope to get involved in metal detecting as a hobby, and I want to thank you in advance for welcoming me to your community.
