Hey everyone,
It has been a while since I have been on the site and posted my finds (partially due to the winter weather
) so bare with me if I am a bit rusty at my thread post.
My Father and I went out yesterday (2/20) to 2 different sites to hunt. First we went to this low-key city park that is surprisingly large; which includes 4 baseball fields, 5 volleyball nets, 3 playgrounds, a boat ramp, and kayak rentals. This site used to be used as a railroad station hub that would fill up barges to transport on the inter-coastal. For only hunting the site just over 2 hours, we collected quite a bit. I was able to get .66 cents in clad, a pendant that reads "sophia", and a bracelet that has some-sort of celtic symbol [all shown above]. My father on the other hand only found .59 cents in clad and a "Army Corp of Engineers" surveying concrete stake. We left the stake alone because it had lettering on it reading something like "imprisonment if removed"... So we made sure to steer clear ha.
The second place we visited was on my grandparents farm house that has been in place since the mid 50's. We found 6 bullets ranging from 9mm to I believe a .40, 1 wheatie, and an old Jerry Rigged hook my late grandfather constructed.
Overall it was a fun day out with the old man detecting on a beautiful day. No complaints on this end.
Happy Hunting:
