I hadn't gone detecting for a while, so I decided to hit the shore of the local reservoir where people have been fishing for years.

After the better part of an hour, I had accumulated a Lincoln Memorial cent and about 30 'old style' pull tabs along with the usual assortment of junk.

I was about to call it a day when I got a hit that indicated a quarter. I figured with my luck, it probably was a rusted bottle cap in disguise.

I was wrong.
