And a first, I never expected to find one of any size. I was hunting a 96 acre farm field that had a homestead on it until the very early 1900's, and had been there approximately 150+ years. I was using the Nox and got a 18/22 360 at 6 & 8" and of coarse I dig it because I'm a relic hunter. Lying in the bottom of the hole at 6 to 7" was a small silver disc which I thought was a dime and when I lifted it out I didn't know what I had because I left my glasses & loop in the truck. It wasn't until I was done and got to the truck that I discovered that I had a 1786 one half reale. It is very worn especially on the face but you can see the last two numbers of the date 86. My only others mentions of that hunt were two flat buttons that are being cleaned.
