Suspender clasp?

I found this at one of my favorite homesites. I think it's a suspender clasp. And it has the initials "MNG" monogrammed on the front.

Defiantly a suspender clip.
The letters are NMCo

HuntinDog is exactly right. It is part of a suspender clip. Don't know what N M co. was.
